Today was mostly wildly unproductive... well, I wouldn't actually say that, since I did make it out of the building AND I happened to do two loads of laundry, thus freeing up some of my floor space. :)
I'm in New Jersey now and it was a little bit of a challenge figuring out how I would be able to post if I wasn't at home... but I'm here! Yay! Day 2, and I haven't broken my resolution just yet.
My nephew Daj is asleep in the next room while his mom and dad are at their company holiday party in the city. I thought for sure I would have a tough time after they left since he is incredibly attached to them, but after I pried him away from his dad and he yelled for a minute or so, I held him and bounced him a little bit, tried to distract him with the scene from Miss Congeniality where Miss Rhode Island was twirling her fire batons by saying, "OoOOOooo look! Fire!" (that worked a bit) and then he promptly peaced out (by simply falling asleep on my shoulder). Guess he didn't really want to have to hang out with his Auntie Joyce. hah
Anyway.
Today's picture was taken right outside my apartment building. I guess it's supposed to snow this weekend so the super threw out some salt as a precaution... It's not exactly as pretty as snow, but it looks like candy on the sidewalk to me...and who doesn't like candy? Thought a shot like this would help me appreciate artsy fartsy-ness in random things. Especially for a day as quiet as today...
